Ooooo, mighta been premature

It's not sping yet, dumby.
56°F sounded warmer than a mesh jacket, with thin liner, could deal with. Even at my leisurely 31mph.
Indian Monsooned Malabar beans this morning at Dinos.
He rotates through several  different beans, and a few continents - 7 days a week.
Better than the coffee is the friendly greeting by name every morning. "G'morning Major Tom!"
(had to move them off of "hey - Space Man!"...when coming in in my helmet in the winter)

Pulled over when going through town - took some Xmas light snaps and put the heated glove liners on. I always carry them - just in case.
I passed somebody who may have been on an electric bicycle. We were miles out of town, pitch dark country road. He was coming at me with a really strange and poorly aimed front light set ....and some kind of thin light bar on the rear.
NO shoulder on this 40-50MPH.
I'm thinking, "he's going to get hit by someone cresting a hill!" if he doesn't get some better lights back there.
And of course nothing reflective about his gear.

And...
Last summer, well before sunup,  I passed two young ladies jogging ahead of me into the village. I slowed and mentioned to them while passing that they were pretty much "invisible" in their chosen attire. (If I'd been dealing with oncoming car headlights - I might not have spotted them!)
A week later in the same area I came upon them again - one girl was now wearing a lighted vest, and they both had reflective heels on their sneakers! The girl looked like a circus wagon from a distance :)

Here as well.
But remember, what are your night-time, pre-dawn lows?
That's when I'm riding.
I'm not complaining - I'll never again ride any other part of the 24hrs.
Anyway - sunrise is my favorite part of the day to be outside.

Took a ride out first thing this morning (i.e. about 3 hours after Stig sets off) at 08:30 hrs and was surprised that, at 9C it felt much warmer than the other afternoon when I was out at 10C.  The only difference I could see was that the humidity appeared to be much lower as we're under a high pressure ridge so it was blue sky and sunny-ish.

Really should get out for a sunrise one of these mornings...  (It's the pull of the duvet though  ;))

I started doing these early rides to Tim Horton's years ago. Go inside in my gear, including helmet, get my coffee and sit outside on the patio, remove helmet if warm enough, relax, watch the sunrise....then go on to work.
Next it was rides to a distant McDonalds.

It always seemed that if I acted casual about it - the clerks would rarely be nonplussed.
Restaurants, grocers, coffee shops, Mc-D's, diners, etc.
