I am sad to go.  I now own a Honda Silver Wing 600 sold my sweet downtown two days ago.  It was time.  I will miss you all was hoping this forum had my new bike but I don't see it!

Kat's not a large person....going up, what, 150 > 200 lbs in bike weight?!
But, she certainly has a lot of high speed cruising experience on a scooter.

Hey, we all know that scooter forums aren't purely about the brand of scooter you ride...they are equally or more about talking about all things scootering, riding, travels, gripes, you name it! You don't have to leave just because you sold your Kymco! Lots of non Kymco riders on here...but we're all Scooterists!

Yeah my last trip to Plaster Rock  with my Downtown left me stranded on the highway for 5 hours (coil went on it)  This kind of took my confidence away with the bike.  Thing is I maybe was a bit hard on the bike with all the trips in the last few years.  Much of the time I had it running full throttle. I don't think that would be good on it as much as I did this.  Still the bike was in great shape and running well but I did notice the RPM's went back up fairly quickly after the garage changed my rollers etc.  Remember I had some issue with this.  I was driving at 100 km's and it would be up to the 7000 this was to much and felt like a stress on the bike to me.  Another main reason to let it go was the fact there is no more dealers in Canada and was very hard to get any parts!!  It felt like time to let it go and so I sold it for 2700 and got this other one for 3400.  I feel I made a good move.  I am happy so far.  I am soon to head back to Plaster Rock to help my Mom and Dad.  This time with my new ride!

Yup, being left stranded by a failed part can colour your view of a scoot! Sounds like the back up locally for the marque now being gone left you in a position where the time was right to make the move. Honda are pretty much ubiquitous so there should be no such problem. Sound move.
