Like 50 2T No spark

New to the forum here. Ive always browsed and got the info I was looking for but this one has me stumped a little.

Cranks and no start.
No spark at plug
Signal from pickup getting to the CDI
Nothing from the CDI to the coil

Pretty  much safe to say that the CDI is bad?

When you try to start does the brake lamp come on? It could be that the safety switch on the brake handle is not working. If you normally squeeze the left brake when pressing the starter try the right one.
