Original belt

Hi guys I have a 2009 model Xciting 500ri and a 2009 Yamaha Majesty. Both new in 2010. Majesty has 2,500 miles,Xciting has 7,500. Both on original belt. Do you think im good for another season ?

10 year old belts.
Do you carry good road recovery policy, and a cell phone?

I've been running drive belts on MC's for 40 years without problem.   Keep proper tension.  No need to replace unless you have shaved down the belt teeth or ripped the belt/put holes in it, etc - misc wearing thin.  That is the recommendation I live by.     YMMV  :^)

Scooter drive belt is not toothed like on motorcycle.  Over 400,000 miles with rubber band drive scooters---my advice change with OEM belt at their recommended intervals, or in the case of age   Walking sucks.  I always carry spare, new drive belt---as dealers will not have them.  My record, now 11 new maxiscooters, following makers recommendation on miles and  using OEM belts=one broken belt underway in VA with Helix...and Helix you could change belt at roadside without taking front pulley off.

These are scooters, not motorcycles. Also, scooter belts have no tension adjustment....you either have the correct length belt, or you don't.
