Starter motor
« on: August 05, 2019, 05:11:53 PM »
I can not find anything about removing the starter on scooters that resemble the Like. I looked in the service and owner's manual , the descriptions are vague at best. I know where it is, I just can't find anything about the best way to get it out. Any advice and/or pictures would be much appreciated.

I was graciously provided with pictures. Now if I could only find pictures of the air, throttle, and idle screws   ::)

Bettingandlosing posted this pic, the idle speed screw (adjust idle rpm) is the screw that is not circled, the idle air screw is the circled one (I don't actually remember if its a fuel or air screw but since its downstream from the slide it may be a fuel screw). From the factory there is a brass cap glued over it so you have to remove it. The screw is a "D" head so you either have to put a notch in it like in the photo to take it out with a flat head or get the right socket.
