HONDA Super Cub 125
« on: November 19, 2018, 01:48:05 PM »
Any one here looking to own one of these?
Wonder if Kymco is building one to get in the game?

Surely they could build one for several hundred dollars less?

By all accounts it's a lovely bike but significantly overpriced. £3600 in the UK, more than a PCX.

I sat on one Saturday at the Long Beach motorcycle show. I thought it could use a longer seat to slide back on. The sticker said "Target price $3599.00 plus $150.00 destination charge. I'm sure the dealers will mark it up considerably. It is pretty.

If I won the lottery!  Honda makes nice ladies scooters, but they're horribly expensive.

With over 100 million Super Cubs having been sold worldwide since it was introduced in 1958 its not just the best selling motorcycle but the best selling motor vehicle of all time.

I really like this, brings me right back to those "meet the nicest people on a Honda" days.  Would love to have one, but will probably wait till the initial hysteria dies down and they're more affordable.  Bet they'll be a good aftermarket for these too.  Where's the wire baskets at, gotta have 'em to go with the milk crate strapped on back or it just ain't authentic...

I think that I read that a longer 2-up saddle will be available. I like the color combination.

Agree....

Pricey, but then you'll have a HONDA in the garage for a couple of decades - most likely.

Was that around in 1958? :)

I like the way they've gone for the older C100 look rather than back to the Cubs of more recent times with their square edges.

It'll be a design classic for sure. If I had a few grand kicking about I'd buy one, but those days are far into the future :D
