Kymco Global Website = Epic Disaster
« on: August 11, 2018, 04:24:11 AM »
Good lord what is WRONG with the people at their corporate headquarters? I wanted to see what models of scooters they were offering in other countries' markets and they only show 2 (both maxi scoots). Can't even find any motorcycle listings. Does their CEO or anyone else in their company even look at the website to see if it is functional and working? LOL. Not to mention the Kymco USA site is completely third rate looking-completely amateurish. The Global site used to be pretty nice. Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, I'm not impressed with the Yamaha or Suzuki sites either -- forget which one - it was that entertaining.
These folks need to hire some teenage web builders.
The world has plenty of failed commercial marketing examples.

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.

Yeah the global website sucks and has sucked for the past year. The American website needs some serious upgrading. Honda/Piaggio always have such nice sites...

I have minor knowledge on basic maintenance based of many conversations with scooter mechanics in Rome, Italy.

I’m hoping that this is simply a glitch that will be quickly corrected.  However, they would have done better to keep the old site until they got the bugs worked out.

Kymco has been on the slide since Kymco Taiwan bought Kymco USA about 7 years ago . If you noticed they went all side by side heavy , but never advertised at all , then let the scooters fall behind  because of it .  Scooters  are how they  broke into the USA market , i was a Kymco dealer for 10 years .  Your right that new site is bad for a Major Manufacture like them .

It would be nice to have a way to actually get in touch with someone at HQ, and tell them exactly what's wrong, and have them listen.

Oh well... I guess the customer is only good enough to take money from.
Two things to consider...
1) The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse always gets the cheese.
2) Eagles may soar, but weasels never get sucked into jet engines.

At the global site you can be directed to the distributor site of your choice in whatever country you like. Just scroll down to the bottom and you will see. At the USA site, what else would you like to see? Covers everything I've always wanted to know.

From an American perspective it is terrible, it took months after the 400i was introduced into this country for them to even include it on their site.
But considering our scooter market, I'll give them a pass, but only because they make their scoots so well and ultimately that is what is important.
