You basically have to pull the body to get to the spark plug.

You have to take the entire scoot apart to change a light bulb.

I got to it with the seet bucket and battery cover removed, but need a swivelhead socket to do it this way and a firm hand on the plastic to give you an extras 1/4"  Would not want to do this at night in the rain on the side of the road  :P

After you pull the center cover and the seat tub, and of course the three bolts for the rack, you can just lift the body up and out of the way. Wait till you adjust the valves!

Actually, once you pull everything off it's not hard on this model.

Which wire did you disconnect from the CDI?

..since i've resurrected my a50, from the death-grip of carbon build-up, i need to re-adjust those suckers...

..i had adjusted them to spec during troubleshooting, but i just bet they need another adjustment now that ive cleaned it all out......

As to the carbon, my SYM dealer gave me a great method..

Go to Home Depot and buy a spray can of "lawnmower power" or something such, it is a green spray can with a straw. They carry it, I have bought it there.

Pull the spark plug. Spray this stuff in and let it sit for 15 minutes. They crank the engine a few times with the plug out. Use a paper towel or something over the hole, the stuff is going to SPRAY. Then replace the plug and crank it up. It melts and burns off all the carbon. When I did it to my SYM at about 5K miles I could feel the difference immediately.

I always put one OZ per gallon of Seafoam in the gas when I fuel up. So far so good.

Damn! Still no parts,so did some more digging around for the true belt size. Seems the lcd4-eoa Kymco part# is the same as The bando 27.3746 Which measures 781x20x30 so it looks like i'll be ordering the malossi 6113148 That measures 795x19.8x30
So if all goes right It should give me some more top end. In the mean time i guess my springs are on back order  ::)
I'll get it all back together Someday I hope.

Well the springs showed today, and have been testing the 1500 rpm from ncy. The slop and play the belt was showing  at idle has been eliminated with a heavier spring. No more flapping around!
No real improvement in top speed (95+ and humid today) may need another upjet for the heat. I think i was getting better results with my homemade spring  ::) (maybe need a 1200rpm spring) But it was near 30 degrees cooler last run. OH well orderd the 6113148 from malossi, can't make any real progress untill it's all here.

Ha! thats my guess I don't know if they make one (1200rpm) I still have a 2000 rpm to try but need the damn belt to take it any further. Had it up to an indicated 75mph when it was a bit cooler out. It didn't want to break the low 70mph mark today though.  I think it was starved for fuel.
When I get done I might have a 1500 up for grabs  ;) They are a bit longer for a gy6 150cc dont know if it makes a difference for the 50cc or not. They are the same diamiter.

..i'll take it!!..and pay shipping!!

..the malossi 1000 spring is about an inch longer than oem...

..i bought a 1500, but the diameter was too small...

..want it??
