Been riding all winter, whenever the roads were dry and the temp above -10 C. (Wouldn't bother without the big windscreen.)

Sure but I cheat a bit.   8)
The PNW is quite a bit more temperate than the rest of the northern tier.

I hope you are on the edge of town, so you can get to country roads, I don't go through Ottawa very much to many NUTS ,  and you have 3 to 4  times the nuts there,  Montreal to many nuts there too,

Almost all my riding is in the city (I live quite near downtown). That's  because I'm almost always going someplace specifically urban (e.g. appointments, picking stuff up, etc.); I seldom ride for pure pleasure in the dead of winter. Yeah; there's plenty of nuts in Toronto, but I somehow manage to survive.

Yep, several times as Tromper said the PNW goes up and down like a yoyo at this time of season.

Once a week for the past four weeks (if I'm lucky) Winter just doesn't want to die this year. We may have snow this weekend, but I'm hoping to commute to work tomorrow.

I have lived in Northern States but eventually wised up and moved south.  I've ridden well over 2,000 miles so far this year.  Yes it does get cold in Northern Alabama but seldom snows.  My coldest commute this year was around 26 degrees.
