Liberating the beans, bridge and apes
« on: August 20, 2017, 09:56:47 PM »
Rain held off and I went for coffee.
Couple guys, standing next to their big bikes there, asked where the grey scooter was.
I told them I "....swapped it for this red Italian job - because she's half the weight, half the HP, half the speed and twice the fun!"
(imagine how well that went over....)

Good  attitude Tom. Some guys would be all flustered and intimidated about being looked down upon going down in size to a smaller moped. Guys on scooters gotta be comfortable in their own skin in this macho v twin manly world of ours. You're my hero dude.

Tom, that reminds of a story where a scooter rider shows up at  the pearly gates and St Peter asked him, "why should I let you in?" To which the scooter guy says, "I rescued a young woman from a bunch of burly biker guys in a truck stop parking lot." "Well that is great St. Peter says, and when did happen?"The scooter dude replies, "about five minutes ago"

That's funny.
But really,  these guys weren't  harassing me. They just wondered where big gray was.
They did have some puzzled looks after I explained why it went away.

When I rode my Harleys, I waved at everybody. when I ride my DT, I wave at everybody. Most Harley riders will wave back at me and the DT, IF they are by themselves, but if there is two or more bikes probably not. They have to maintain their bad boy image, I guess. It's their lose. Those two guys were just use to seeing you either on the Like or the Burger and you caught 'em by surprise. She is a very nice looking scoot.
