My vitality 50 2t
« on: May 13, 2010, 12:14:33 AM »
Hi everyone,
Figured I would properly introduce myself and my scooter. My name is Brian and I live in Brooklyn,Ny. The scooter is a 2004 Vitality 50 2t with 1049km (about 650 mi) on it.I got the scooter as payment for work I did at my mothers friends house. That was 2 years ago, it didn't start then and I was waiting for a title for it so I put it in the garage and sort of forgot about it. 2 weeks ago I pulled it out and did a lil research turns out I dont need an mc lic just insurance. So I get it started and find I need a new battery and a general tune up. Battery comes this weekend and next week I'll try to do the rest. With this being my first scooter I'll probably be here alot
I dont have any pics of the scooter but heres a video of my first ride.
Thanks in advance
Brian

Brooklyn huh! I'd be keeping that scoot indoors all the time.

I have a safe place to lock it up at home and my shop is really a huge garage. It's gonna be for going back and forth to work for the summer, and just kickin around. I have a truck that i use for any driving I need to do but at 10-12 mpg its not ideal. And i figuure I've had this thing for 2 years I might as well have some fun with it.

The fun bit is what hooked me! 2+ years of riding almost nothing but a 70cc 2t. I never would have thought such a thing!

I got plates and took my first ride today. It got up to 45 mph or so, I know the speedo is prob a lil off but I cant see it being more than 3-4 mph off so i'm thinking that the cdi has already been modded (I hope).  I'm going to open it up and check the bushing/washer and the rollers. what's the weight of the stock rollers  if anyone knows? I went about 11 miles from work to home. It was better than expected a lil smokey but I'll check that out when i get back to work in the morning It was sitting for at least 2 years and for the past week that it's been running it never rode for more then what was in the video in the first post. I'll have the mechanic at work help me figure out whats goin on with the somking problem.

A synthetic 2t oil such as amsoil interceptor will not smoke as much . The cumbustion point is much higher , it also cuts down on carbon deposits so they say . Good luck .
