New scooter owner here
« on: May 10, 2008, 08:29:59 AM »
Hi guys, my name is Jason and I am picking up my first scooter today. With gas prices soaring I needed something small that could get me to work. A family friend owns a scooter store and sold me a Kymco Agility 50. I am fine with the small size for now. Maybe the future will hold something bigger for me. I am looking forward to driving this lil' bad boy around town but had a few questions. Please bare with me, I'm new to this whole thing.
1. Would I be able to wire in a cigarette lighter so I could charge my cellphone or would that be too much on the battery.
2. What about adding some sort of radio as well?
3. What websites are a must for a new scooter owner?

Thanks in advance for any help guys.

I wouldn't think it would be any problem to wire in low power use devices.  Keep in mind the small battery size and limited power generation.  A cell phone charger is going to use almost no power and wouldn't have any negative impact.

A radio should be pretty easy to add.  The only thing I would keep in mind is to keep the power use low.  Personally I would look for a small light amp (10-25 watts) and a 5.25 inch speaker and connect an ipod to the amp.
