..okay...you're definately at the right place...

..can you take a cpl pics of your cdi and post them here?

..the posts in the "Kymco agility 50 07 de-restriction" thread in this board are pretty much straight forward...

..however, we need to verify what cdi you have in your scoot...

peace

..okay, sounds like the standard stock cdi wiring...it's the same as mine anyways...

..if you will look at the "Kymco agility 50 07 de-restriction" thread i mentioned in my previous post, there are a cpl of pics...

...just make a small 1/4" deep, Vee-shaped notch like the pics show...

..you won't hurt the cdi if you just copy what you see in the pics...

..there is a tiny wire encased in the edge of the cdi...making the little notch will cut this wire, and inhibit the electronic rev-limiting feature...

..this simply allows your engine to run faster...

...yup...about 1/4" deep...there is nothing else in that area of the casing except the tiny wire about 1/16" below the edge...

..if you look in the "CDI" thread in this nboard, there's a pic of my cdi...my dealer did that for me...so you can see that there is nothing else in that area to damage..

This page has a pict of the cdi for your scoot. Is this the same as what you are describing? Sounds like you are looking at a different part to me. Slinger, could you post a link for the service manual for his scoot? maybe it will be easier to figure out if there are some picts.  http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx
