Will a 201- exhaust fit a 20013 Super 8
« on: June 10, 2014, 11:02:56 AM »
I know someone who wants to sell a 2010 exhaust. I may want to buy it and try an exhaust mod. Not sure if its from a 2T of 4T.

Would both a 2010 2T or 4T exhaust fit a 2013 2T. ?

They are different inside, and out. They will not swap. Sorry.

You can look up the par numbers, and see.

If it's a 50 it's 2t. All the 50cc S8 are 2t and will work just fine.

A bit confusing now.

Thanks anyway I'll hold of buying it.

This is what I was going to buy :

I am hesitant about chopping  the pipes off my my original exhaust.

That is a four stroke 2010 pipe. It will not work on a 2t engine.

Wrong, that's a 2t pipe!!!! Never have they made the super 8 50 in 4T !!!!! That pipe is off a 2t bike. My only question is why do you want it? Is yours bad?

I want to mod it by cutting off the blind pipes and keeping my original one stock should it take a while to do.

That exhaust will work for you. A bit expensive for that, but it'll fit no prob.

Thanks Bettin. Im seeing $259 for a stock exhaust from the parts suppliers. But if it get me an extra 5 MPH and better performance on the hills, I think $120 is affordable. I cant find the pipes any cheaper that $100.

B7L,
You beat me down... I looked at the Emissions fitting, and thought it was a 4t reed assembly.
On zooming into the Pict. you can see it is stamped KF10AA.
I stand corrected... Sorry for the confusion Chris.

$259.00 sounds too high.
The two examples I posted on top are the retail price for those pipes. Try the site I linked to double check the price. It is a 2010 S8 2t pipe

Haha yeah its a derp lookin stock exhaust for sure. And Chris, make sure you take it too a good machine shop to get it mig welded. You don't want to pay to have it done right again.

Mig welding is where it gets expensive. Was hoping I could use pipe clamps and clamp rounded metal over it. I may need to hold off for now as I d expect a welding shop would charge more than what I paid for the exhaust pipes.

Whatever you do, don't just house clamps or whatever. You'll lose because it WILL leak. Mig is not expensive, from my experience most machine shops charge 40-50$ minimum. It's not worth doing unless you weld it. If you UPS your exhaust top me is$50 for the whole thing plus shipping.

Thanks Bettin.

I'll do some thinking. Still eager to take off the variator to see if the smooth boss is actually on.
