20+ mile ride each way at 35 mph.

 Rode to Long Beach this morning by streets, keeping the speed down. It is about 20 miles to Alamitos Bay Marina. I cruised the beach roads and ended up by the Queen Mary. I had lunch and returned home. A great ride.
 I have always taken the freeway if I was going any distance. It is a lot different when the goal is the journey and not the destination. There were quite a few scooters in this area. They have a very active scooter club in Long Beach. It turned out to be about 55 mile round trip after all of the side trips.

I love riding my scooter on the roads less traveled. Friday I rode the backroads near where I lived. Discovered two very nice private wineries. Came upon a flock of wild turkeys darting across the road. When I finished my ride I traveled nearly 40 miles.

Hi Lido,

You talkin' about us?  I'm still a noob with these folks, i've done 5 rides, and they've all been a ton of fun.  Great group of many different folk, but all a love of scooters.

My wife has a new LX like yours sitting in the garage waiting to rack up the miles.  It currently has 1.2 miles on it.  :o  Last weekend she finished the riding portion of the MSF, now it's off to the DMV for the written, sometime in the next couple of weeks.
