Your gas price today?

[Stig / Major Tom]

Just me being "curious" -  no politicos please.
Here in Yellow Springs, SW Ohio, USA.

According to Google, what I've just paid for diesel equates to:
(UK£ 201.9) per litre = 10.098 US$ per US gallon  Scary!

[Iahawk]

Neil, that's more expensive than any diesel in the US!  I drove a company car for 28 years and never paid for my gas. I never knew or cared what fuel cost! I miss those days.

The week I came home from Vietnam  - also marked driving my first car, purchased by my wife, to a gas station.
I'd only ever owned Honda motorcycles, and I'd never paid a dollar to fill one.
I paid $.32 for a gal to fill my VW buses 15 gal tank.
Later, during the long lines and gas rationing - I barely noticed!
Of course, minimum wage was $1.60.

That's not too bad - no reason to complain.  It's less than what I pay. Diesel is more efficient than gasoline, so your price is a good deal!

Thoroughly gets my goat that over 50% to 65% of the pump price here goes in tax to the Govt who then bleat there's nothing they can do to help the motorist!  They even slap VAT on top of the fuel tax!  Grrr
