same deal with our annual Hay Day (3rd Saturday in August) Main St is a State numbered highway, detours on narrow streets with turns, wouldn't want to take it with a semi. Fireworks in the evening. When I lived in N.E. wife and I enjoyed the summer and fall small town events.
Nearby towns that have multi-day events have fairgrounds, a bit later in season. I always check the pumpkins out, I have a neighbor/former client that grows giants, and usually has one that weighs over a ton
Some towns in the area host 2-day events - but because this street fair closes a main north-south State Rte. through the village - it requires a pretty much a one day, dawn to dusk event.

still hasn't rained yet, thunder in the distance, hot, humid, my 40 year old AC isn't keeping up, medical expenses have eaten into my mini-split fund and I'm pretty sure I hear the bear family outside. awake at 2am
hope it cools down and the bears leave you alone!!
