Xciting 500 / 2013 US Model question
« on: September 17, 2012, 10:56:53 PM »
Hey, I was wondering if anyone has seen the 2013 us model in person. I've seen different pics online and was wondering about the turn signals. In Europe they are LED signals in the same spot as the current xciting 500 just under the head lights at the tips of the faring. But several photos from magazine reviews in the US show them having mirror LEDs like the Downtown. If thats the case I wonder if there are even LED pannels in the fairing or just empty lenses. If there are LEDs there it would be great if both upper and lower worked.

Downtown 300 / Stator / Generator
« on: April 14, 2012, 02:46:15 PM »
Hi there, I searched around but can not seem to find this info, hopefully it is not covered in several other posts and I've just missed it.

I'm wondering if anyone knows the output of the Stator / Generator on the Downtown 300i and what the normal operating draw off the battery is? I'm looking into my Maxi-Scoot options and seem to be frequently going to the Burgman 400 and Downtown 300. One thing I like about the Burgman is there is so much info out there and DIY help sites.
I really like the Downtown and think it will meed my needs, however I would like to see whats left in the electrical system for extras. I don't want to go crazy, but I plan on a better horn, heated grips (I ride year round), cell phone / GPS power and some added lighting. I know I'll save some after switching to all LED for the lights, but don't know what that will leave me. I have seen posts about weak battery issues... This info is readily available for the Burgman and you can figure out how much you are using in normal use and whats left for extras, although the 650 has plenty of extra AC, the 400 still has room to wiggle and I'm worried the 300 might not.

If the info is not known, any one have powered accessories on theirs? Any informed thoughts or guesses on how the Downtown would cope with:

 Stebil Nautlis Compact Air Horn
All LED tail / turn lights
Added LED tail / Brake / Turn lights in topcase
Front and Rear side marker reflectors replaced with LED markers
Power to GPS and or Cell Phone (possibly together
 Heated Grips
LED Driving Lights on front forks

I know it looks like a lot but that's my vision setup. With the exception of the lights being constant on, I realize the power can be managed to the rest (Don't have heated grips and driving lights on at the same time for example, or don't charge a phone and use GPS and heated grips together etc..) I know the Burger can handle this and more, but can't seem to figure out if the Kymco can.

Thanks for any help.
