I also have a new NGK CR7E 4578 spark plug I will throw in since it will fit in the box.  Have no use for this either.

This is a VR removed from a 2012 DT 200i last winter.  There is nothing wrong with it.  I changed it out with a new one as I was going to run in the 2020 Scooter Cannonball on this scooter but the event got canceled and I sold the scooter.  I replaced it out of an abundance of caution as I had 2 VR failures over 2019 in my Vespa scooters.

I am asking $20 mainly to cover the shipping costs.  If you are in Vermont and can pick it up, you can have it for free.

My first and only Kymco is the 2012 Downtown 200i purchased last year up in Maine to run in the 2020 Scooter Cannonball which has now been postponed until 2021.  I have a Vespa Sprint 150 and GTS 250 but my plans were to ride the Kymco and then sell it at the end and fly home.  I bought it as it has a decent handicap for cannonball and is reliable to run 10-14 hrs per day for 10 days.  My only complaint is that I felt the seat had me too low so I had to add some height with an air cushion and some foam.  I did not feel comfortable with my knees higher than my hips.

Downtown 300 / Re: I NEED a NEW stock HIGH seat for my DT

Keep us posted on your results.  I have a DT200 that has the low seat and don't like it.  Have made a seat cushion that raises me up but would rather have a seat that does the same.  Have you looked at any European parts places?

Kymco News / Re: The Scooter 'Zine X-Town 300i

My only experience with Kymco is the DT200 I bought for this years scooter cannonball so my experience is limited.  But since Vespa is such a name and presence, I think it is good that other brands are showcased as everyones needs/wants are different.  Anytime positive is nice.

Perhaps an email to the author highlighting your experience with the scoot would be helpful and maybe published to promote scooters?

The Scooter 'Zine May/June '20 issue has a nice review of the X-Town 300i.  The publisher/writer, Howard Rains, was able to take one for an extended test ride and it was a favorable review.  The scooter was loaned to him by On Any Moto in Tucson.

General Discussion / Re: 2020 riding season
« on: April 02, 2020, 05:14:15 PM »
On Scooter Cannonball----never worry about food and sleeping places....unless you have not ridden to many places in the past----Recent years I have scooter or Suzuki 250 ridden to 49 states, never had problem eating or getting gas or sleeping.

Normally I do not worry about that but this is not normal times so there may be issues.  Since I live in a relatively small city, I fully expect some of our restaurants, convenience stores and probably at least one gas station to go out of business, if this stay at home order continues into the summer.  I suspect that this would be the case in other areas of the country.

General Discussion / Re: 2020 riding season

Unfortunately my riding season here in VT is shorter than yours so this virus could really impact it.  Looks very realistic that here in VT we could be under stay at home orders until at least May possibly longer.

With this virus, the Cannonball looks iffy although it has not been formally canceled yet.  I am registered but have canceled all my hotel reservations and can always re-book if things go well.  My concern is that going thru 14 states plus Canada, there may be areas that are under some sort of lockdown plus getting adequate food along the way, especially in smaller towns.

We use the 150's for errands in town and they fit in the back of the pickup truck when we are towing the camper, so they get used for rides when camping such as going places where it is difficult park the truck (3/4T diesel, extended cab, 8ft bed).

Otherwise for general riding and trips the 250's are used.  I had been using the DT200 to get some mileage on it and used to it prior to running it in the Scooter Cannonball 2020 but that event looks high doubtful.
