Toss a potato on top.
See if something throws it back.

Stig

The aliens might just keep it and eat it :o

I got thinking, was there an old CCC camp in the area? they built some strange structures out in the middle of nowhere, that would be abandon 80 odd years now

Stop over thinking it.  It's an Alien landing pad!!

Shows the old pump has still got some life in it yet?

That's right.  I went out a couple of days ago a purposely rode some rough and slick "roads".

Thanks for the encouragement guys! I claim no conscious skill in saving it, that was all reflex action so I guess 40+ years riding experience in all conditions does lay down subliminal skills for when you need them?

Whatever, far better to read the road and avoid those situations in the first place so, slapped wrist for me there!

An occasional adrenaline rush is good for you!

Timely this cropped up in my feed after my experience yesterday.  Been wet here lately and the leaves have started falling 🍂🍁. Taking daughter to Uni we were on the scooter for convenience.

Campus grounds have plenty of sleeping policemen (speed humps) most of which have a 6” gap curb side. Useful for single track vehicles; or at least they are when there’s no wet leaves in the gutter that is. See where this is going?

So, Dad goes for the gap and gets it wrong by about 2” hitting a leaf covered camber which puts the  DTX360 into a slide left, then right as I correct.  A real rodeo ride ensued for a yard or so complete with one dab, but somehow I kept us upright. On parking all I get is “don’t do that again please”! Like I choose the cardio workout!

Take it easy out there.

Glad it came out OK!

That's the first time I heard Speed bumps called sleeping policeman but the term fits ;D

I ride rough roads all the time.  There ain't no cars on many those roads and if there are they are going much slower than I am.  I stand on the pegs and shift my weight back if it's really rough.

I forgot to mention my bike has 9 inches of suspension travel and handles rough roads just fine!

If I'm on one of my scooters I'll dodge the potholes as best I can and raise my butt off the seat if needed.  I ride some pretty rough roads on my scooters.

My ADV 150 has bigger wheels and more suspension than my Like so it works better on rough roads

I'd almost put $$ on it being a structure from when construction of TVA was going on. I've explored some of those forest roads, western NC, eastern TN, and northern GA

That's what the government wants you to believe.  It's an alien landing pad!

This on the other hand was a TVA project.  They built a Dam then built the powerhouse around 10 miles downstream.  Then they built a pipe to connect them, mostly drilled through mountains.  the pipe is visible here:

Look at the trees...young for trees...guessing the oldest not more than 75 years. What was going on 50 to 75 years ago? Where is this thing in relation to anything else? Who owns the land/who owned the land? Curious people wanna know...

It's National Forest Land in Eastern Tennessee.  It's in the middle of nowhere in some rugged mountains.  Access is via a trail off of a pretty rough forest service road.

This is also nearby.  It was a power station used by the aliens to re charge their space ships.

General Discussion / NSR, visiting the site of a big government coverup.
« on: October 23, 2023, 09:11:52 PM »
A few days a go I had the chance to ride to the site of a big government coverup.  I was on my motorcycle, not one of my scooters but I thought some of you might be interested.

.

What is it?  It's a landing pad built by aliens to land their UFO's.  they built it in the middle of the forest so no one would see them.  the government made up a story about it being a cement plant and even photoshopped some pictures.  Really???  It's in the middle of nowhere in some rugged mountains.

There are even some residual gravity distortions left over from the UFOs.  Here a bike falls most of the way over but doesn't fall all the way.

General Discussion / Re: the Major makes a rare Top Speed run...

The speedo on my Like 150i is about 5% off and the speedo on my ADV150 is spot on.  I run them both up to 60 or more pretty frequently.
