« on: August 19, 2019, 12:17:09 PM »
Kymco 300i 2014

When turning the handlebar right or left Or vice versa (scooter on the main stand) I feel that the handlebar slight catching in the middle

and while driving I don't feel this catching

is the steering bearing is the problem (top or bottom bearing)

Thanks

why you say cables/wiring harness

it is a mechanical issue in the handlebar moving left or right

Cables/harness could be hanging on something. Probably not the cause if you bought the bike new and did not change anything in that area. That would definitely then, be the head bearing(s).

Definitely the head bearings.

Have the top and bottom ones replaced and you're good to go.

Somehow, it is a common issue with the DT, some have said they come under lubricated from factory.

The steering bearing is a known issue with the DT. Another possibility is that the entire front section is sagging (as it is only held up by 6 screws) and is rubbing on the forks.
