Use a Jasil (top racing) variator, and a Scorpion pipe. Cynthia, at Scooter Alley in Hawaii will hook you up. The var is 99.00 usd, and the pipe is 250.00. These will give you an honest 10mph gain.

I can't believe how well this thing goes. If the variator is changed, will I need to change the v belt as well ?

I read on her that someone wondered about the zx... It's the 1st gen zx not the super fever...
... BUT WOW, look at the wheels. Those aren't regular Kymco wheels.. Those are little 10" honda metro type..

Not real sure about that particular engine... I THINK it's the AF style...
I know my '04 is the AF engine

And the fender.... It looks like the gy6 "peace sports" fender...(rims kinda do to, but i was trying to save face by using Honda....Lol)

I think Sids was a 1st gen. ZX.... but even his had the "kymco wheels" and regular front fender....
 ???   ???   ???  ... Interesting..
FRom the angle it APPEARS to be the AF style engine...Lol

Now mine with the s9 suspension, bigger tires(120-130)...(oem is 110-120) handles like a dream
