B&W (ego) 250 won't start

Need help  my ego (bet&win) 250 won't start...
Turn the key, power on, battery full - hold the brake, press the starter button, 
hear a clicking sound from the starter solenoid, scooter doesn't start and the dash turns off
everytime I press the start button.
After trying over and over and turning the handle to pump fuel in.. A big thick puff of white smoke
came from under the middle of the scooter. Still cant start it...


Please help...

Since you got smoke do not try to start! Your battery is dead. Replace it and then try to figure out what made the smoke. No, wait! Try to find what burned up first.
