NSR: Sunflowers & cat adventure X 3
« on: September 07, 2026, 08:55:38 PM »

Drove out to see the sunflowers at sunrise. Mature heads point east - I'm told young plants try to follow the sun across the sky to some degree.

this is a "working farm", that opens itself up to visitors every couple of years when they plant their fields with sunflowers. Located 1/2 mile N. of Yellow Springs - it get a lot of visitors with cameras!

Daughter and I spent the morning posting cat fliers all over Yellow Springs for the stray that we've been looking after.. Y.S. is such a destination spot that we've received inquiries from visitors from northern and southern Ohio - and 3 students at Antioch in Y.S. We got as far as watching him ride off in a car today - only to be brought back in 10 mins because he was pitching a fit in the carrier we bought for him.
So, back to training him to ride in a carrier. Or, worst case - I give him the whole 8' of my truck bed to ride in to his new home!

If interested - I can do FEDEX or UPS~!
My daughter named him OREO - but, honestly, he doesn't answer to a dam thing!

And, I'm feeling a little peculiar.
