Really nice pics in the mountains, my favorite. Where were these taken?

Various places in the North Carolina mountains.  More details and a lot more pictures are in my ride report here: http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/full-throttle-touring-150-through-the-rocket-city.647784/page-57

It's not fuel injected.  I didn't notice any loss in power but I'm sure there was some.

My wife and I spent our 31st anniversary in that area last October. Did Pilot Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Mount Mitchell. and travelled the Blue Ridge Parkway in our car. One day I am going up there on my scooter. I am envious my friend. Great pictures and beautiful country.

Your pic of Mt. Mitchell looks similar to our ride over it a few years back. Stayed in Maggie Valley and rained nearly all the time. If you wanted to ride, you had to ride in the rain. It was Fall, very chilly, a near white out going over Mitchell with my wife on the back of our SW. A memorable experience but a nervous ride until we dropped down off the Parkway and scrubbed off some altitude.

Maggie Valley is a great place to stay, great riding in every direction.  You are right about rain and altiltude.  If it's raining you are likely to be cold and in the fog at higher elevations.

I didn't spend all my time on this trip getting high ;D

I checked out some scenic spots.

Rode in some fog:

I rode a few curves.

Got my picture taken at Deal's Gap.

And even rode the "road to nowhere"

On our ride on the BRP, our SW had the tall Givi windshield which was nearly impossible to see thru in the fog. Had to look around the windscreen a few times to get my bearings. Attacked that bad boy with a jig saw and whacked her down where now I can see over it.

How fast does that scoot go? I can feel a reduction in power in my B650 from sea level to Durango, CO at 6,500 ft mostly on take off.
