Actually, I did a fair amount of carb research before deciding to get Malossi 19mm carb kit.
There are a several different carbs out there, some very cheap that would probably work well. With more experience, and testing I could probably figure out a carb that would work great. I just decided to go ahead and pay extra for carb with a little or a lot better quality, that's more likely to work well, has good selection of parts, and probably less trouble tuning than a cheap clone.
Later, I might try a cheap clone carb and see how that goes. I do have more than one 49cc 2T scooter and a cheap carb that works well could save some $'s.
