3°F w/light snow Not fit for beast ...or scooter rider!
« on: January 19, 2026, 01:18:03 PM »
15 mph winds.
Ordinarily, at this time of morning I'd be miles from home, enjoying a hot cup of Joe on the Group W.
Not seeing much of a break in the weather for the next week.
Often a risk of snow showers each day. I'd rather not be caught out and have to bunk on the floor at Dino's! (friend BMW/Reflex Joe is in a nursing home - enjoying another new knee)

just a few days ago.....

I've gone thru snowblowers, plow on a truck, plow on a utv, now, a 48hp diesel 6500 lb tractor with front loader & backhoe, loader has a float mode so it plows well. Always wanted a tractor, but just couldn't to it self employed chasing money, now that I'm on a "fixed income" I know the $$ will be in my account

cold, wind howling and below zero temps....snow flurries all weekend, here. Yuck.

Plugged in my little electric, oil filled radiator in the garage last night to keep my garage from dropping below freezing. Even with outside temps at 5 below zero the garage only dropped to 36 F.

I have a Rinnai direct vent heater (LP) in my barn, keeps it around 60°f

Pretty winter scene there Stig.  We have a lull between storm fronts here in the UK so I'm hoping for a run out later.
Regards & ride safe,
Neil

I'd love to have something like that but have never got around to doing it. Always something else that takes precedent.

got mine as a freebee, contractor friend of mine had a tear down project, he salvaged 3 of em, gave me one. So my only cost was installation, and several coaxial intake/exhaust pieces

I was looking at getting a Monitor kerosene direct vent heater, when a deal I couldn't refuse came up
