UXV 450 Gets the Job Done!
« on: December 17, 2020, 05:53:15 PM »
Howdy folks! Got 14 inches of snow here at our place in Pennsylvania yesterday into this morning. Kind of disappointed we did not approach the 18-24-inch range that was forecast, but a good, solid snow nonetheless. Last year, we had a very mild winter, so this was the biggest storm we've seen here in some time.

The 450 did a great job cleaning things up. I went out last night around 9 p.m. and did it once, then again this morning after it was all over. I used to dread clearing my driveway, mainly by hand. Now, it's actually a lot of fun and very satisfying to do the job. With my speaker system, I can ever rock out while I'm at it!

For those who are interested, I'm running a 60-inch Open Country/KFI plow blade/push tube and KFI front plow mount. Here in the States, you can find these kits (mount, push tube and plow blade) on eBay for about $700. This is my second season with it, and very happy thus far.

we got 28"-30", my 450i got the job done, but not without mishap, one of my chains fell off on a fronrt wheel broke the brake bleeder off the caliper, lost my brakes, I had to rely on dropping the plow a couple times, to stop,

Bummer. I don't find traction to be an issue while plowing, at least not thus far. I am sure if we got a bunch of ice before a changeover to snow it could be problematic, but so far, so good.

Thank you, sir! I tend to agree, but then again, I am partial to my machine. What I will tell you is that I often run into compliments for the machine whilst out and about riding during the summer months. Kymco side by sides are hardly well known to the public, and I am often asked, first, what is it that I am driving, and second, how I like it. After I tell people how well the machine performs relative to the price, I find they are impressed. But you're never going to see more than one Kymco out there for every 100 Polaris, Yamaha and Can-Am units.
