A screaming People. That's really got to be a sight to see.

Well, it's not really a screaming people, it's just a stock engine with a few tweaks and a lot of tweaking to the CVT.  I'm looking forward to getting the data key for my Mychron 4 along with the race studio software so I can more closely monitor what's going on in the street.  I have to admit though, for a stock parts 50cc engine, (I haven't screwed with it - honest!) it does pretty darned well.

The shortest possible answer is... The exhaust pipe determines the power band. A good pipe set to 8000-8500 rpm's will get you 50mph top, and 45 all day cruise. Your pipe stops at 7000 so running above that rpm just makes heat, and no more power. So at 7000 rpm you do 40ish... with a good pipe you can raise the cruise rpm, and the speed.

..there should ever be a better short answer??...heh??...

To have true 50 mph cruising speed with some extra space above that, you need at least 9 hp 125 cc 4 stroke scoot

..or a slightly modded super9...

That 9hp sounds like a REAL number. sounds about right!
Or a slightly modded S9...
