first pretty cold ride 15/16
« on: October 03, 2015, 10:53:26 AM »
Fortunately recd my new highway worker's hi viz, lined, waterproof jacket from ups yesterday. Mid 40's, high winds, rain expected.
Will give a full report on this jacket later.
Bought big enough to wear over my leather icon jacket.....which in the larger sizes came only in black. I'm a big fan of high viz....plus this new jacket is waterproof and striped with 3M reflective tape.
Too cold to tap this thing at Tims..

Mid-40s, high ( 35mph gusts) in Maine yesterday( but- drying up the 8+ inches of rain received in 5 hours Wednesday). Wore a sweatshirt, liner from mesh jacket and armored ( G0Go  Gear) Hoodie and rode without much discomfort ( fingers cold until I put liners in gloves ).
Not going to get much warmer for awhile, me thinks .

to pull out my snow suit.
This thing cost about $75. and extends my riding season by at least two months.

Man, this bomber jacket is THE most hi viz thing on a cloudy and rainy day!
Looking at my reflection in store windows....seems like this jacket is plugged in to 110!
Very bright in the day time and lots of 3M tape for night riding.
Snug wrists to keep out the wind. Fleece lined.
Comfy over my Icon jacket....stayed dry and felt no cold wind.
I bought the 100% water proof bomber jacket with the two color 3M striping...orange added to the stripes.
Not the fastest shippers, but sturdy gear at fair prices with big and tall sizing.
Can recommend the jacket.
