Mo powah!!! Need advice!!!
« on: August 13, 2009, 10:48:43 PM »
Hi everyone, my first post!!!!

I've been reading and reading, and I understand most of what I've come across, but will someone please simplify exactly what I need to do to make my lil' scooter go faster.  (top end and take off).   09 Agility. List them 1, 2, 3 etc, as if I was three.  I won't be insulted.

I got the CDI part, but I'm not grasping the carb improvement.  I can just change carbs and get "Mo powah"

Thanks in advance!!!

Rob

In started with the CDI de restrict then did the clutch boss and later the carb jet but then replaced it with my old one because if anything I noticed a decrease in performance. Now I'm installing a 85cc kit and NCY exhaust. Next I hope to do performance clutch and variator, carb etc.... But first and foremast clutch boss and CDI got me goin 40-45mph then I went from there. If you want a clutch boss you can order one from scootertherapy.com they have been very helpful for me.

just did the same thing this weekend with the cdi, what a total difference, do you think I should do the drive boss like you did or just stick to only cdi mod until I am ready to spend some cash??

The drive will give the same satisfaction as the cdi. They are the 2 keys to getting the scoot. to run as it was intended.

I guess I want to know that something will improve by putting new drive boss in, pretty much what everybody is sayin is that they get you to about 42-45 but with only the cdi I am at that speed, now I need to improve my uphill power, how do you think that might happen??

..The variator boss will help with that, as would a bit lighter than stock (6gr) roller weights..

..a stiffer main clutch spring, and stiffer fly clutch springs will also help you up the hills...

..keep in mind that your speedometer is probably reading about 5-10% optimistic...
