Performance Parts
« on: October 23, 2009, 06:40:08 PM »
Hello.

Does anyone know where I can find performance parts for the Super 8 150? I am looking for exhaust, cylinder kits, clutches........... I actually have the Agility 150 but it's the same as the Super 8 150
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I think that this is not a GY6 motor. It's a LCD3 E000 motor.

I have always heard that without extensive modifications aftermarket exhaust do virtually nothing for four stroke bikes , also that they make remarkable improvements in two stroke bikes . I would really like to hear first hand if this is true . Please let us know your results . Good luck .

Not true at all. Many bike are restricted by the down pipe alone. By changing to a performance exhaust with a bigger diameter, it might just improve the performance whether it's top end, mid range, or low end.
Stock bikes usually don't perform as good as a kit bike. I will let you guys know how I make out with the new exhaust.

I agree w/ agil. , An aftermarket pipe alone will be disappointing. You are getting the advantage of increased air flow out, With no improvement in. If you run a larger carb./jet, and air filter the improvement is worth the money. As agil. said the main difference is in the diameter of the "manifold" pipe. Increase the size; increase the flow. Take a close look inside the manifold end of your current pipe. Many have a "reducer" welded inside, and this can easily be removed for free,vs. the price of a new pipe. A general rule of thumb is; A thinner pipe will produce better bottom end torque, and a larger will produce better top end. 4t's are very sensitive to exhaust flow. Cam timing also comes into play here using overlap/ duration to adjust for the power band you want. Bottom line is you should PLAN the exact operating range, and use the appropriate pipe. Fine tuning can be done in the cvt to compensate for the shortfalls of the power band of the engine

Hi,

Sorry to drag up an old thread but I am new to the site and I currently own a Super 8 125cc here in Australia.  I am currently in the middle of putting a two brothers exhaust on it and then an air filter and rejetting. I have had a performance variator in it and once the other parts go in I will adjust the roller weights and springs in the clutch. However I would like to finish it off with a performance camshaft of something like an A8 or A9. Could someone advise me of which one would be better to get and most of all where to get it from? For the life of me I can't find one for my type of engine which is a KDU-E000. Last of all I am going to replace the belt, what type do you guys use? Kevlar or standard? Sorry, last thing should I also replace the CDI? If so, which type and where from? Thanks in advance for help8ng a fellow scooter owner out!!

I tried tht 2bros exhaust. Looks nice, a little loud though...(about 95db at idle). Perform well with a Malossi clutch and variator. That setup liked 11.5g weights. Not too much faster than stock but sounds rude when riding and gets up to speed pretty tough! Have fun with her. I played with this bike many time for more performance but you cannot do too much without performance kit.
