Front diff problems
« on: April 29, 2014, 01:35:30 AM »
I just picked up a 2009 UXV 500 and upon inspecting it, I found the the front diff needs new bearings and seals. Problem 1: I can not pull the axle pods from the diff, tried using puller on either side at the same time and pounding on the pods with a hammer and piece of hard wood, then tried using a slide hammer and giving it my all with no success. Problem 2: Can anyone tell me what model arctic cat is the diff out of so i can cross reference parts plz

If you go to Kymcos parts and accessories website you can get the kymco part numbers to order from kymco.  If you want to cross reference, it appears a lot of models use the same differentials and drivetrain as a whole.  Go find a similar year AC 500 I bet it has the same
Drivetrain.  It will be obvious by comparing the parts fiche.

2nd on the parts fiche.

Is there a hole in the backing plate or hub? Perhaps it's a bolt in set up.
