when a hot coffee won't do ~!
« on: July 01, 2025, 05:47:05 PM »
Even in my mesh jacket it was very darn muggy yesterday for my dawn coffee ride.
On my walk down to Dino's I decided to embarrass myself and ask for something other than a "large w/cream, please."
I'll have to stop him - because he starts making it when he sees me come in the door. I'm not special - he does this with all his morning guys.
But this morning I wanted something different.
So, I asked for a small "something cold and blended (not over ice - but ground), chocolate (the only flavor I can deal w in my coffee), and with 3 shots." (of espresso)
He said "sure", and started building it. (per polite coffee shop custom, I let the others go first - before ordering a time-consuming drink)

Man! - this was great!

I asked Dino what I should call this the next time. He told me - and I promptly forgot it as i went out the door.

You've reached that age where you're operating in the hereafter Stig.  You enter a room and think "what was I here after?!"

The other day I muted the F1 race during a commercial. From out in the kitchen my daughter said, "Dad!, get your car keys out of your ear!"
WTH?!
"I can hear your key ring - and you don't need your car keys to watch TV, unless..."
Spooky kid.
