Agility 50cc tuning
« on: April 17, 2025, 08:49:27 AM »
I have recently purchased a new Agility 50cc Euro 5 scooter for my son. The scoot is painfully slow. I have looked on this forum and searched the internet and all I can find is tuning parts for the earlier models? Is it possible to tune the Euro 5, with its ECS Electronic Carb and whatever else is different on this model?

Did you check the exhaust piping for a restrictor washer? When i lived in Italy, they put a restrictor washers on the flange connecting to the muffler. I used to have them remove it when i bought a 50 cc scooter. I am wondering if you are living in europe.

Further research has led me to believe the Euro 5 engine is beyond tuning possibly because of the electronic carb? Would it be possible to change the carb to a non electronic carb from an agility 50? I assume the ECU / Fuel mapping software would have to be bypassed? Ultimately, if my plan to fit a larger (80 - 90cc) cylinder kit cannot be performed on the Euro 5 engine, I will be forced to rip out the existing engine and fit an older tunable Kymco 50cc engine.
