HS1 is a standard motorcycle bulb. It is in fact a 35w version of the H4, and itis a bit shorter but otherwise the same.
Some folks have replaced the 35w with the standard H4. If you replace the brake/running light with an LED, you might get away with doing that, as you should have enough voltage. OTOH, you may melt the lens from the heat.
