Has anyone tried one of these? I know, I know! Just...

Went to Motion Industries today, in person. Motion, owned by Genuine Parts Corp. also owns NAPA. Shortened story, Gates does not make or sub the belt for the LEA7 engine/transmission unit.

So, we are stuck with Mitsuboshi, Malossi, Polini and these guys at Amazon. Not discounting ebay at all, but at least I can get my moolah back from Amazon.

So. Original question: anyone try one of these china belts yet?

Amazon guy has a lousy customer rating, 33% negative.
I wouldn't touch an ebay buyer with less than a 98% positive rating. Usually only purchase from 100% sellers.
PayPal is rock solid payment method, also backed by your credit card. [not mine - your's! :)]
Again, Kymco OEM at $129 with free 4 day shipping seems reasonable.

I completely agree with Stig on this. I've used PayPal for years as well.  I've had a hand full of bad experience in over a 1000 purchases on ebay. If I didn't receive  my shipment  PayPal made it right.

I even use it to purchase used scooters from people in other states. You can use PayPal in stores as well.  I use the 6 months no interest for large purchases. Just don't go over or you'll pay 29%

Stig and KK, good info and I am listening. I am also early on belt-tightening because 1. Funds are limited 2. Inflation is ramping up 3. Parts are gonna get even more scarce and 4. I'm cheapo!

Understand completely,  I don't have any experience with aftermarket belts longivity.   Inflation is definitely a factor around here, example a Harbor freight  motorcycle lift table was $299.  a couple of years ago now $499.  A trailer I purchased last year went up $200.  Then my 12'x12' building had a 30% surcharge for increased material cost. I wanted to build a new garage but will not pay the  surcharge so the new garage was put on hold..

Most all of Harbor Freight is china stuff. Price rise part inflation and maybe part tariffs...

Harbor Freight's name is very accurate the stuff comes off the boat from China.
