S-200 Making A Strange Noise
« on: June 16, 2010, 01:27:11 PM »
Hi All,
My 2008 S-200 Is making a strange noise. It Is a somewhat grinding.. Whoosh-Whoosh noise. Not metallic like brake shoes would make. I had It In a couple of weeks ago and the service dept. took apart the rear wheel assembly and checked/ cleaned the rear brake drum, that produced/showed no problems. My Scoot has almost 5000 miles on It and has been impeccably maintained. Any ideas? I have my Scoot in the shop right now and I am having them have another look at It as well as anything that needs to be done at 5000 miles, They are changing the Spark Plug as well, and I change the Oil every 1000 miles. It Is at Scooterville here In Minneapolis.
Thats the shop I bought It at. If you live In the Twin Cities Metro Area, Scooterville Is the only clear choice for all of your Scootering needs.Sales , Service, and a truly great staff all the way around.

Have A Great Day & Wear That Safety Gear!!!

Do you think it could be the belt? The stock ones do stretch. When does it happen? What rpm's?

All Fixed, it was the Rubber Bumper for the Center Stand fell off and the Center Stand was vibrating on the CVT Cover. Mechanic at Scooterville told me when I picked up my Scoot That Its nice to work on a Scooter that the rider takes pride In ownership!! Mechanic said that when he took off the Valve Cover It was so clean he could have eaten a Bowl Of Cereal out of the Cover.
Thanks to all the great Mechanics at Scooterville, esp. Coleman!!

Have A Great Weekend Everyone!!
