Thanks bluesin,
You can imagine how close I came to removing, and blocking,  this post as spam.
Surely someone who has the means to post here - has access to translation sites in order to participate in an English based forum?

Kymco News / Re: New C-Series

400i works out to be about 35 hp and 27.8 foot pounds. Dint see a weight. Estimate 425 pounds. Might be a future replacement for my DT300i.....when my ship comes in!

Karl

Those were my thoughts.

The C-2 would be great for "Scamping" and road trips, though. Seems much like the Beemers in that I bet you need to buy specific side bags/top cases, etc. to fit (unfortunately).

DO NOT like the 'hard top' for the C-3 though. Quite ugly.

The Concept series.  Don't think they will come to Australia and even if they did I reckon they will be out of my price zone.

What about this one ?

Kymco News / Re: Xtown 300i/Xciting 400i
« on: November 03, 2017, 09:17:19 AM »
If I didn’t need to go faster than 65 I don’t need a almost maxi, and that’s what the Xtown is.
Many other better choices for city scoots. I’ve ridden both plus the 400 and if you want a  ride capable of more than surface roads youll need the 400 to do the job of the old 300.

Here’s what the designers were looking for, $3999.00 and it’s not haveing the DT for lunch.
Why? Because on the way I’ll hit the highway and the xtown will have a hard time with that 70mph merge. I put 10,000 on a Downtown and many of those miles the new xtown won’t do.

Always been a kymco fan but this isn’t their best work.
Of course ya can’t tell if you haven’t ridden them.

AMAC

I'm with you ! The only trade(s)I'd consider would be the AK 550 or the XCiting 400.

Hi. Just bought insurance write off DT. There are no keys and some minor panel damage. I guess I will have to replace ignition barrel and fuel cap.

in Canada we call it Nufi screech,   USA call it white lightning

The one you can buy from manufacturer is Everclear. Sight returns faster than strained Sterno (or Canned Heat...the Band named themselves after this) . We be "Goin' Up The Country"

Battery problems after year one. Replaced it twice...second time with more powerful/stronger battery. No issues other than that and no problems with that.

is a good thing. What i`m wondering about the 400 s is, with the extra horsepower, will weight gain negate the extra HP.
In other words, will a lighter weight 300cc fi scoot perform just as well as the heavier 400 s?.

As far as I've read the 400 is "ABOUT" the same power rating as the Xciting 500 due to weight/engine design.
