Is it a stretched Honda Ruckus?

Photo of Dave Chappelle in my coffee village. That's ol' Tim in the background (village sidewalk mayor)
Also saw a photo of him riding a Royal Enfield in town....wears a helmet on the Enfield.

I’ve used this on everything from my VWs to small plane motors and it will slow the process.

As far as stainless fasteners on cast metal, not always the best idea. Could end up with the case getting eaten away.

The continuation of sucking the fun out of riding.

Let's face it, the vast majority who buy such machines never take them on adventurers. Like people who buy SUVs. They are mostly for soccer moms and wannabe outdoorsmen who don't like getting their hands dirty let alone rough it. It's all about image, nothing more.

Yup that’s for sure.
I see more jeeps with snorkels in NYC than I do in the okeefanoke.....

One reason in US, dealers having nothing in stock/accessories is: scooter market in US dead or near death.

There is some truth to this. All 2 wheel sales are at the weakest.

That said there are places where sales are solid, mostly good climates where people use their scooters for transportation. The local multi brand shop here will tell you even gas prices have little to do with their volume.

Too many choices drive costs up so they keep them to a minimum.
Not to mention they give very little thought about the North America market wants in general.

The ST & the HD appear to mostly share a chassis, but that's about it.

The HD, which is no longer available in the U.S. either, also has an external fuel filler, something I appreciate.

The motor in the ST looks, by spec, to be the same one used in the Lance scooters in the U.S.
Not a terrible motor but notably less power than the HD, & a bit less than the People S, also not available in the U.S.

Having owned all three motors here’s what I’ve found.
The 171 in the HD is the best under 200cc scoot motor ever, period.
The 163 SYM/Lance is a quicker motor than then 161 in the S.

My s200 topped out at 54.
My cali Classic 200 at 67.
The HD at 75.

All gps.

Might be selling short VW longevity. Last one I used for a trade in had 185,000 miles on it and was still a great running family car.
Like many aircooled....keep valves and timing in spec and freq. oil changes.
Stig

Truth.
I have three with over 200k on the motors.
Even in the event of a rebuild it can be done on the cheap by almost anyone with a little wrenching skills.

Best part it has the “old” 300 motor not the detuned 300 in the Xtown.
Good choice.

I am getting the impression that the Sym is better quality, as I don't often come across Sym issues in forums when I am doing a general search. In fact, never.

Sent from my Mi Max using Tapatalk

My kymcos have always been good to me.
That said my SYMs were bullit proof. I’ve had both the HD and RV 200s and never a burp.
Hell same with my Lance scoots.

Also, if you're planning to introduce a bike that is 100lbs lighter and has the same engine power, for the same price, you might want to discontinue the bike and give the old ones a chance at clearing out.

Bingo.
That’s why most good dealers sold out the old 300 before bringing in the Xtown. Far less $$$ for the x.
Of course on the 300s they are less scoot for less money.

The name, and the shape, brings to mind green F1 cars of old ----- and the Morgan.
Is there a British connection with this company?

Stig

Yeah it’s the Morgan look that hooked me.
All US made in Utah. GM power train.

Almost every state has a disabled plate, nothing out of the ordinary.

Now for auto cycles . I hated them until I saw and drove a Vanderhall.
Ordered a Venice and should have it late October.

I’ve read so many times how “abs has saved me a few times”.
To that I answer “you don’t have a equipment issue but you have a skill issue”.
Modern cars have made driving minndless so I guess bikes are next.

Tech good until it’s autonomous vehicles. Bet many here that love abs don’t care for those even if they are safer than human driven cars.
