We have said the same thing, in fact Neil and I have had a discussion about car parts having different names in each country.  The world has become a smaller place with the internet.  I remember in the early days of the Internet riding in a car with some long time friends  on hwy 400.  We passed  the small town of Beaumont *Kansas.  A question by me led to Marcie looking up the info as we drove down the hwy.  As a child I would have been amazed to be able to make a phone call from a car.

*Beaumont Kansas is a very small town known for historic railroad water tower. It has a hotel/restaurant that pilots land at the airstrip and taxi into town and park in front of the motel restaurant  for lunch.
Back in the 30.s  there was 1 phone per city block allowed , if the home owner did not like you , no phone unless it was a emergency  in regina sask,.  Canada,.  we were not on the good list as our cat hunted his chickens,

I was told by a battery dealer to charge a battery that has been low to long and does not hold a charge at 15 amps,.  and it cleans the plates , and desulfates the batterys. is that true,

pe0ple from EU drove three days gave up driving to BC as they were still in Ontario,

the 12 volt battery of car will start the scooot,, car running will put out up to 200 amps will fry the ECU,  as most scoots have # 20 wires and cars have # 12 and 10 wires much thicker wires, canadian batterys are up to 1000 anp hours for our winters,

General Discussion / Re: Kymco Dink 200i oil consumption ?
« on: March 23, 2021, 02:13:34 AM »
Hello everyone, :)

I recently got a Kymco Dink 200i / 2008 Model. I am wondering if you can give me some help. Always after driving between 10-40km the hose coming down from the Air Filter Box to the ground is filling up with Oil. And i realize the Engine Oil level goes down. Have to say no smoke or so is coming from the Exhaust Muffler. Is it a normal such waste?
Also I saw the Hose coming from the AIC Valve upwards to the Injection Intake is cut off. At the Injection Air Intake is a blocked piece of Hose. Whats the reason to block that?
Thanks for any supportive reply and Help.
regards Renos ;)
I have a canadian Frost 200  ,,, USA yager  other lands dink 200,.  is your motor 174.5 CC  15.5 HP  see if you can trace oil from engine , is it a seal leaking oil  from a shaft into the tranny,.  I only had oil come from the gear box from over filling right at the back of the air box,.  the long tube that collects the oil would it come from the carb. or intake air headder,.

Thanks, the blue top case is a stock item on all of the LIKEs - color matched to the body.
Since I was going to be work commuting in the dark - I added the Bestem case for one reason - to get more lights behind me.
It has a string of bright little LEDs as running lights - and the number of lights doubles when I apply the brakes (and a few more on top the lid light up as well)
Personally - I think the case is too large - but, for the money, I've never found anything with lighting as good as these Bestems. All-in, with a padded liner, and all the necessary mounting hardware, lights installed at the factory - price was @$140 shipped.
I paid nearly that much for the mounting plate on my Piaggio. (I did get lucky and snagged a rare custom paint-matched Piaggio case for my (RED) Liberty. The optional case for the Red Liberty was black - other colors of the Liberty had color-matched cases. SoCal Vespa dealer miss-ordered a few cases for their red Libertys. When unboxed - they were brown! - so they sent them out to be custom painted in the proper red.
Their paint job was superb....and the price was the same as for the black. I bought the last one (only one? - no one remembers) they had....and I've never seen a red Liberty with a matching top case.

My first topbox is a Givi   ,looks the same as the bestem,  the red light is the same size and both can be used on the bestem , looks like a copy

Dont you hate it with the snow plow leaving 5 feet deep of snow in your driveway,. you get it cleaned up and they do another pass just to clean the street again and there is another 2 feet of snow,.  it is not bad when it is 20 below as the snow is light , but when it is near 0 it plugs the snow blower every 5 min.  (  need a 50 HP snow blower ) like the one the town has,.  Waiting for spring another 8 weeks to go,  hee hee getting new dentures for my birthday, happy day,  no more soup for awhile,.  thats the price of a new scooter gone to HELL,.@#$%
