The venue for the First Annual U.S. Motor-Scooter Land-Speed Trials has been changed from El Mirage Dry Lake, Adelanto, CA, to "Historic Route 66", Devore, CA. This is due to the continued closure of El Mirage by the Bureau of Land Management. For further information please contact Alan Spears through the MSILSF website: www.motorscooterlandspeedfederation.org.

Pedro,

The SCTA (Southern California Timing Association) who generally hosts El Mirage has a 15" minimum, precluding scooters from participating. If you'll please go to the Rules section of our website you'll see that we've written special Rules exempting bonafide motor-scooters with larger wheel sizes from the 14" Rule. Your People 50 is a "motor-scooter" and, if you wish to enter, kindly advise asap so we can implement a special exemption.

Dear Prospective Entrant,
 
This letter is being sent to the entire mailing list in the hope it will be forwarded to all prospective entrants. If you're fully entered, please be so kind as to simply forward this e-mail to any one you know who may be contemplating entering.
 
Thank you for your interest in the First Annual U.S. Motor-Scooter Land-Speed Trials, and for initiating the application process.
 
In order to clear up any possible confusion or misunderstanding regarding "Pre-Entry" status, it is imperative that I inform you that the only way to enter this event is completion of all parts of the on-line entry application and payment of an entry fee for each scooter you are entering. Perhaps more importantly, entries close at midnight on October 22nd, after which we will not be accepting any additional entries. This date has been selected as the cut-off date for both practical and administrative reasons. This letter is not intended to give you the "bums rush", but merely to inform you of the procedure that was set in place from the inception of this event.
 
Thank you for your enthusiasm and competitive spirit.
