Or maybe use them when driving the car?

Don't laugh. The batteries are charged for that very purpose.

That said, I can't be too critical, it's been raining all week here in Sassenach land!

Good stuff. It's been mostly dry here  ;D

Mine are very similar - but it does say that you shouldn't wear them in the rain. Which is a problem in Scotland. I'm not sure rain repellent spray would do the trick.

Plastic carrier bags?

When you sit under a tree aftter a rain....it'll still be raining. Keep lid on coffee...

If you're at Starbucks, you'd never notice the difference.

I had a full licence by then, but that wasn't any kind of certificate of sanity. Quite the opposite in fact!

My Yamaha RD250LC was the most fun I've ever had on a motorbike. Not a particularly high top speed, but the way it got there was infectious (maybe the wrong word to use these days!)

And soooo easy to work on / modify etc.

We 'inherited' a feral cat (much to the disgust of our resident moggie), one summer, a few years ago. Fed him up, de-ticked him and then he turned around and off he went into the darkness.
.
.
.
.
Until the following winter came. Then he decided that the feral way of life wasn't really for him anymore and he actually quite liked food, warmth etc etc. It took a few goes to get him to stay though. We had to lay a bed out in the middle of the floor then retreat upstairs before he would come though from the kitchen. Given time, he sort of became ours. You never really own them.
.
.
.
Until we had to have him put to sleep (we think he was hit by a car on one of his extended patrols. Anyway, he had a peaceful end and a very comfortable latter years.

<sigh>

Where is this quaint village you visit every  morning? Looks pretty swanky for what I remember of Ohio..

No one actually lives there. Actors are bussed in daily - bit like the Trueman Show.

He takes the shiny scooter in the back of a van to a model 'murican village, takes a few photos, then takes it home again.

That's my theory anyway.

Going from grip to zero coefficient of friction in an instant and then back again is a sphincter-tightening experience I can tell you!

Curious.

I experience the exact opposite.

I recall someone on here fitted Harley style highway pegs to his did (i.e. beyond the front plastic fairing) which allowed him to stretch his legs on longer trips. Fine and cooling in Mexico I'd imagine.....but you really don't want a Scottish breeze blowing up your trouser leg.

Other than that, remodelling the seat shouldn't be too difficult if you can find someone that knows what they are doing.

I removed the far side latch after it refused to open and just have the much shorter cabled nearside latch in operation. It works fine and is secure (for all that I have under the seat)

i shall pass on your appreciation to her.

WRT the marathon running, well it involves a lot of training. Which means she's out from under my feet. ;)
