People GT 300i / what did you do today on your GT300I
« on: March 09, 2015, 03:47:37 AM »
I installed sliders, cvt belt, oil change and pulled the front wheel so a shop can put on City Grips.  The sliders really smoothed it out.

General Discussion / Biltwell Gringo helmet review sort of
« on: April 15, 2014, 02:49:22 AM »
I gave away my Bell Custom helmet and got a new helmet.  I bought it from Revzilla ordered it Sunday night had it Wednesday.  I'm really liking the new helmet with sunglasses it lets in a lot of air.  Unlike my open face Bell Custom this one has some face protection.  The paint is great I have the Gringo LE white with red scallops pinstriped in gold.  It's light weight for a full face, the inside is nice with good looking stitching.  My other helmets Bell Custom, HJC full face are a medium and the Gringo medium fits me fine.

People GT 300i / Ermax windshield / headlight install change
« on: April 15, 2014, 02:28:25 AM »
I just installed a Ermax windshield from moto machines $116 or $106 with shipping.  Removing the front panel was easy.  The headset cover was hard to figure out.  I put changing the headlight in the topic because its the same procedure.

1.  Mirrors don't bother with the small nut under plastic cap.  The nut you need is 17mm under the rubber boot.

2.  The back half will come off after removing 2 bolts on steering neck, 2 Philip screws by the switches then some taps to undo. That will expose the back side of the headlight.

3.  I think one of the mirrors is a left hand thread so don't mix them up.

4.  The tabs two on top the others along radiator cover push the center in then pull tab out.

I spent two hours trying to remove the mirrors and trying to pop off the face off the headset all the wrong way.  Easy job once you figure it out maybe 2 hrs total with hooking up euro turn signals and all.

« on: March 24, 2014, 09:58:18 PM »
I just changed the oil in my gti 300 a couple weeks ago and checked it after I got to work.  Oil level was a little high and smells like gas. I was checking seeing if this happen to anybody else.  New oil filters are on order planning to change oil and watch it very close maybe a one time deal if not glad I got a warranty.

Chattanooga Tn to Washington D.C and back, a lot of interstate on the way up.  Skyline Drive and most of the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way back.  I did the tail of the dragon last Saturday (man that some crazy stuff) never again on the weekend.  Scooter did good but had a slipping cvt belt in the rain.

People GT 300i / Rear tire mileage
« on: August 01, 2013, 01:40:27 AM »
I only got 1200 miles on my gti was wondering how many miles riders are getting out of the back tires?   It's great was just asking because on my buddy black jack 3000 it would be done.  The gti looks like a bit more wrk to change out.
