I have had three scooters but I can't keep off this one..1300 miles in 60 days absolutely no problems.

General Discussion / Kymco Product Support

After 1200 miles on my 2012 Like 200i I started having service engine notifications (Red Light). After the third incident KYMCO reps were called and this week I pick up a brand new 2013 KYMCO Like 200i.
All I'm saying is that they stand by their product and for the price I'm happy with KYMCO and my dealer.

LIKE 200i / Locks ... Trunk and Front Compartment

I would like to replace the compartment locks with a regular twist knob. Anyone done this or have an idea?

LIKE 200i / Service Engine light

Like 200i with 1200 miles, one scheduled service for fluids and and hardware check completed. I always use premium fuel with no ethanol.
Last week it was 105 degrees and humid here in middle TN. After a 20 mile ride avg 40 mph with some 50 mph moments I noticed service Engine light at a intersection. I shut the bike down and restarted. No light and engine sounds and moves the scoot just fine. Today it was warm and rainy, bike running fine but light went on once after about four miles at 30mph.
Same thing.... shut bike off and light goes off and finished 20 mile ride to work. Bike sounds and runs perfectly.
Fuel? Humidity? Heat?
Suggestions?

LIKE 200i / 1000 Miles later

I can't believe how much this bike has changed after one thousand miles! Gas mileage, acceleration, and top end speeds.
This is my second Kymco the first was a 2010 Super 8 and I was beginning to regret my swap until this week.
I ride this bike 40 miles daily
Today I got off the bike and just said........ wow that was a fun ride home!
I have read a few not so favorable reviews about this scooter and wonder if any review should ever be written until the engine is properly broken in.

The only reason I work is to ride it.
The Tom Tom GPS is really loud but with the new windshield I can really hear it.

LIKE 200i / First service costs

My new scooter is ready for its first service check and fluids change. I expected the cost to be a couple of hundred dollars.
What has anyone else paid and should I shop around?
I live in the Nashville TN area. I enjoy my new 200i and hate to give it up for the day.
