Agility 50 / Speedometer showing false speeds
« on: August 11, 2015, 12:14:07 PM »
My speedometer displays my Top speed at 60 km/h and its actually 52 km/h. I found out by measuring my speed with my phone and our navigator and when i drove by a speed board or what ever its called it displayed my speed to be at 52 km/h when speedometer showed it to be at 60?? How can i fix this?

I checked the variator today again, and before removing the nut that holds the variator i tried if the variator moves, and it sightly did, and as i was moving the variator i heard the same kind of rattling noice. Im pretty sure its just the original variator after a smooth boss change.

I would need to invest 52+14€ to get the malossi multivar tho.. :/
but i guess if im going to invest any money on the new parts i should just straight up get the malossi one.
And how much do u weigh? I my self am 84kg so the 1500 spring would be right for me, u sure the 1000 spring is ok?

Yeah that's what im going to do.

BTW does anyone know is this Naraku variator any good? https://www.scooter-attack.com/shop/#!/en/Kymco/Agility-RS-50/CVTs/Replacement/AVARIONARAKUGY6-Variator-Naraku-Standard.html

I would get a malossi or polini if i had extra money to spend, but those variators also come with boss and other things and i dont need another boss. But i want to change something, cuz it takes too long for it to accelerate and it loses speed at uphills.

One last thing, ive been hearing weird noises from variator/clutch case when driving on full speed, when i slightly push down the kick  start while the engine is on (not a good thing to do, i know) then the weird noises stop for a while. Might some part be loose or is something getting in contact with something?

Yeah, i installed the unrestricted boss and i already get 60km/h(speedo), so ill prob just add the 5,5g rollers and stick with those.

I would just stick with the boss but the accelration is kinda slow still.

Agility 50 / Re: Wont start with left hand brake pressed only right

Left wont work but only left does? What? If you mean that pressing the rear brake while trying to start wont trigger the start cant you just use the frontbrake then?

And i really don't understand how the 20x38 mm Smooth Naraku drive boss wont fit??? it makes no sense at all to me, is it cuz i have the RS model? Nothing goes as its supposed to on this god forsaken bike!

I got my 6 g Rollers in the mail today with a unrestricted drive boss. First removing of the variator/clutch case was a pain, then the drive boss didnt fit on the place it should fit into so im forced to find one somewhere else and return this one. When i finally got everything back in (including the old restricted drive boss), setting the rubber sealant in the variator case was a pain (didn't work out anyway), but i got it all back together. Now the Hell begins, it was very hard to start the bike up again, and when i did i drove about 25 m and then i heard weird sounds from the variator casing and my speed slowed down. Well i had no other choice than open it up again and see what was wrong, well the half of the rubber seal was stuck in the clutch pulley and the belt was in the wrong place. I put it all together once more (now without the rubber seal) and started to drive.

First off my accelration was even worse, when i pull down the gas it stutters and then slowly start's speeding up, it took my twice as long to reach 30 mph.

Second problem was that my electric start doesn't work anymore, only kick starting works. It tries to start but it simply wont start anymore??

U professional's out there, i really need your help! Why is the accelration slower now? why doesnt my electric start work? I replace the stock rollers with 6 g ones, shouldn't i get a better accelration now??? Is it Performing  worse because i dont have the rubber seal on the variator case anymore? whats wrong what could i do??? Please help fast

I would go for a big bore kit too if the laws in Finland weren't so awful.. Cops enjoy test driving mopeds here. you are only allowed to got 45 km/h and tuning will get u a ticket,u might lose your  driving license and/or registration plate, may get a driving suspension for 1-12 month's and u will have to pay a motorcycle tax if the moped goes over 65 km/h. So I am going to keep my tuning in the low end, not something so noticeable. A unrestricted drive boss, 5, 5 g Naraku rollers and a derestricted CDI .

Agility 50 / Re: Electric starter works but kick start doesn't
« on: July 27, 2015, 10:49:34 AM »
I have the same thing with my Agility rs 4t. Kick start wont do anything when the engine is warm or its warm outside, but in spring and fall when its cold Electric start does nothing, but i get the engine running with first kick. Seems like that's just a feature on Agility's... But as long the scooter starts and run's well it shouldn't be a big issue i guess.

I have driven about 70km now but there is still lack of power and top speed. Any other suggestions what it might be?

Well that worked! :) Tipping the bike slightly drained some of the oil (it was messy like u said) BUT now there is a good ammount of oil in the oil tank. I took it for a test drive immediately, there was not too much diffrence (i managed to get up to 42km/h) which is slightly better. I think it takes some time and driving for it to fully recover, if not, I will report back here

I thank u for your advice guys ! ^^

So tell me as a professional, can i get a bit of the oil out? i dont want to waste the allmost fresh oil, so could i just take a bit of the oil out? and the oil valve is beneath the oil refill hole itself right?

Is the oil level supposed to be only at the little hashtags? Cuz mine goes over that, it has too much oil then?
