General Discussion / Removal of Sh-33 Topcase lock to re-key it to my People 150.

Hi,
Would anyone know how to remove the lock from my Shad-33 Topcase so I can have a local locksmith re-key it to my 2009 People 150 scooter ignition key, thus using only one key for both functions? I'm trying to learn the procedure before I do it, so I don't screw up the lock (and maybe won't be able to put it back together). I can see inside the topcaase that there are two plastic tabs which, if pushed, I suppose, will release the whole lock mechanism, but there are two springs involved which might be difficult to put back together.

I would suggest this method to anyone who gets a topcase for their People 150 (mine's a 2009). The SH-33 easily holds my large full-sized HJS helmet, plus other smaller items. This 70-year-old New Hampshire boy will gladly answer any questions about this post at jofour@myfairpoint.net. Man, is my scoot ever FUN to drive! Have a nice day.
