Thanks a ton HB,

I honestly don't consider it a bum steer.   I appreciate knowing where people get good service.   I just wish there weren't so many consistency problems.

Yes,  I'd like to take a look at that.   And it to jphill0@hotmail.com.

Thanks again.

HB, do you know of any videos online or a good writeup on doing the carbs ?  If I can't get the parts before the mechanic moves, I may just try to do it myself when the parts are available.

Hey Hairy Bob !

I totally appreciate your suggestion, and the following rant has nothing to do with you.

Everybody here should know exactly what they're getting into with Kymco Parts Monster.  If you know what you're getting into ahead of time, do what you will.  But, don't let their website be the indicator as to whether or not they ACTUALLY have the parts in stock.  THEY DON'T.

Kymco Parts Monster is who I ordered the parts from....a MONTH ago.  And now they're telling me it could take another month or longer !

I have nothing against a company not having a part.  Thats not the issue to me.  The issue to me is EXACTLY what you're describing above.  Their website "SUGGESTS" the part is IN STOCK.  Then, the ONLY email I ever got from them stated that I WOULD RECEIVE my order between 7/9 and 7/14.

I never received a call or an email or ANY acknowledgement whatsoever that the parts were not in stock.  "I" called THEM on 7/15 (after it was ALREADY supposed to be delivered) and was told that the parts were expected in a "day or two".  No followup from them, no emails, nothing.  "I" had to call them AGAIN yesterday 7/30 and spoke with Andy.  He told me that the parts were being "held up in customs."

Again,   I have no issue with a company not having parts.  I have no issue with there being a road block or two along the way.  My issue is the shady nature with which this whole process was handled by "KYMCO PARTS MONSTER" which IS INTERSTATE CYCLE, INC in North Carolina.

They CHARGED MY CARD day one (7/2)...not "when it ships".  Their site "suggests" that everything is right there in stock.  You don't receive ANY updates from them.  If they determine a part isn't in stock, they should be notifying you ASAP, but you are completely on your own.  As I told Andy on the phone, if I had KNOWN that the part wasn't in stock, I would NOT have ordered from them.

Now, I've literally lost an entire month that I could've been using to find the parts IN STOCK somewhere.

I urge you and everybody else to read the "order processing" page on Kymco Parts Monster's website.  Talk about fine print !  It goes on to essentially say that just because their system lets you order it, that doesn't mean it is "in stock".  Actually, they specifically state "Most order contain parts that we do not have in stock."

What a crock.  I guess if you're ordering an oil filter or something easy to find, you'd never notice this.  I have to wonder how many people find out the hard way...as I have...that they've lost valuable time due to KPM's "smokescreen" which essentially gets them two weeks of free money before you ever even think there might be an issue.  Actually, they have your money in their bank account accruing interest for closer to a month !  Andy told me yesterday that the refund on my card would take another week and a half !  Add to that the "day or two" they told me on 7/14.

One last, but IMPORTANT note...  The front page of KPM's website says "FREE SHIPPING", and most of you may know to be sceptical of this, but just click on the "FREE SHIPPING" logo.  It should be ILLEGAL to put  "FREE SHIPPING" on your main page if you don't disclose RIGHT THERE...like reputable businesses do...when you have to spend a specific amount.  In this case...at LEAST $300 before you get free shipping !  And, you only find this out AFTER you start the ordering process or follow the links to start reading the fine print on all their fine print pages.

I'm glad to hear you haven't had those problems HB, I would NEVER wish this kind of situation on anybody.

Venox 250 / Trouble finding carb parts !
« on: July 30, 2014, 09:17:23 PM »
Hey everybody,

I'm kinda desparate to find some carb parts.  My Venox has been sitting for a couple years now primarily because of a 6month ordeal trying to get the carbs cleaned by the local Kymco.  I finally found a guy who really seems to know what he's doing (not a kymco dealer), and now he's being shipped out in a couple weeks.  He's torn the carbs down and determined the parts I need, and he's done a lot more to get her up and running, but I ordered the necessary parts a month ago online, and they're telling me it could be another month before I get them.  I've even broken down and checked with said local kymco dealer to see if they could get the parts any quicker.  Apparently the distributor is backordered.

Honestly, If I can't get the parts within a few days, I'm probably going to lose my opportunity to get this thing put back together until I can find another mechanic I can trust to finish her up.

Any help would be appreciated, whether you're a dealer and have the parts, or you call your local dealership to see if they have them.  I'm in a real pickle and would appreciate any help or suggestions.

I need 2 each of the following:

W1470-MW0-7500    Diaphragm Comp (these are the parts I'm having trouble getting)

I can get these, but would prefer to buy them all together from the same place:
1202-869-6000   Camber Gasket O Rings
16155-ZG8-L100   Float Valve Comp

Again, I need 2 each of those three part numbers.  I placed the original order 7/2 from Interstate online.  They originally told me I'd have them by the 14th, but after a few followup calls that "I" had to initiate, I'm finding out that was just an "estimate".

Thank you !
