I'm going to miss you guys!

Are you guys going to miss my stupid posts at 3AM and having to convert everything I say to the metric system?

Well I did it on an enclosed track of course!

And on a side note, has anybody else noticed how much these things love octane boost?

Ok, I kept running it, ran a couple more gallons of gas through it without overfilling it.  It seems to be cleared away.  I read somewhere online that when you (I) overfill it, it runs into the evaporation canister and stops air from getting into the tank while riding.  If that's the case, that sure is a weird design flaw.

Looks like I have a buyer lined up, that means I can't bug you guys anymore!

A buddy of mine is buying it for his wife.  Perfect starter bike, 250 w/rev limiter, pre-wrecked!

Just thought it would be interesting to hear people's personal records of top speeds.

I've had mine just over 90 but it doesn't always climb that high.

Ok, so I got it to stop cutting out at an idle.  It was running perfect again!

When I first bought this bike I had trouble keeping it running, I took it back to the dealership and they replaced a valve in the fuel system.  They told me this valve goes bad when the gas tank is over-filled.

Well it seems to be doing the same thing after I accidentally over-filled it.  I've ran it for several hundred miles/KMs without over-filling and it's still cutting out then starting back up again after 60 seconds (hard start).  Then it runs seemingly perfect again for about 20 miles/31km.

Have you guys heard of this problem in the Venox before?  Do you know of any solutions?

Zombie, be nice!

Hey there John. I must admit I was a little surprised at the response you got and where that thread was going to go. ( Z - you a very naughty boy ! Now you just go and stand in the time out corner and think about the error of your ways young fella. ) Anyway it's nearly the weekend so I hope everyone gets time to get a nice ride in and chill out. I know I'm going to.
Regards, Hairy Bob.

Yea, heh heh heh, it's all good.  You guys have all been a big help to me, thanks again to everybody.

Dang Zombie, relax dude.  I think you may be confusing me with somebody else because I've never asked that question before.

If you're referring to my other posts earlier this season, about the bike running rough, I took the advice of the seafoam and got the bike running great after some plugs and gas treatment.

All I was saying was it seems to idle fine, but still cuts out.  If it idles fine I don't want to mask another problem that could get worse by covering the symptom with an increased idle.

I'm not, in your words "just another A hole"

Relax man.

It seems to idle fine, but I have no way of seeing the RPM at an idle.  Based on feel though, it seems fine.

It seems to be worse if I coast in neutral to my stops, as opposed to downshifting to them.

Any ideas?

Hey speaking of running perfect, what would make it cut out at a stop light?

It's otherwise running great, nice idle, acceleration, top speed and everything.  But it likes to to cut out, start right back up, and run perfect again.  Only happens at stop lights, once every 20-30 km.

I had a single cylinder 650 Savage that did the same thing only not as often.

Any ideas?
