Would it work or melt fast?

It's riding beautifully.

To close this out, a bubble in the fuel filter seems normal.

Fingers crossed that replacing the ignition coil solved the problem. It passed a test drive today and is running really well. If tomorrow's test goes well I'll consider the problem solved.

Thanks for all your help guys.

The Agility 125 has a carb; all gy6's do.

It stalled and wouldn't restart on yesterday's test drive. My current theory is the ignition coil is going bad so it's being replaced.

Good news, a lot of progress was made today. I confirmed the fuel system is pumping fuel into the carb when the bike is running. The biggest surprise is the bike became easier to start once the puke tube was emptied. Why would that be?

Then after changing the spark plug it successfully completed a test drive. After getting back I tried restarting it a few times and about half the times it worked and then it became hard to start again- but did by pumping the throttle when turning over. Not sure why that would be. It will be interesting to see how this week goes.

This morning the bike started up and ran for a few minutes after the carb was cleaned and reinstalled so that's good news.

I'm thinking the issue is the petcock isn't getting enough vacuum for it to release gas. Is there any other element involved with vacuum to the petcock besides vacuum from a running cylinder and the hose lines?

I'm going to run new fuel and vacuum hoses but the manual doesn't provide info on them. Is this information correct?

The fuel hoses have two sizes: 3/16" and 1/4"
Vacuum hose is 1/8".

It seems strange that they are imperial.

Info is from Lab Coat Paul (who is awesome).

I'll keep at it.

The carb was cleaned yesterday and the pilot jet seemed clogged. It would make sense that that is the problem but time will tell.

Yes, search for a thread I posted on this which details the process. You need to replace a button battery and it's an involved process.

Agility 125 / Bubbles in the fuel filter?
« on: March 05, 2026, 06:46:05 PM »
There were no bubbles in the fuel filter. After ignition a few bubbles arrived from the direction of the gas tank. When I revved the throttle high more bubbles arrived. How is that possible? Does is mean anything?
